According to the Vaidic literature, Ganesha is the
eldest son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvathi and he
is the head of Pramadhaganas, hence Ganapathi. His
brother is Kumaraswamy. Hindus worship Lord Ganesha
with several other names like Vinayaka, Vighneswara,
Gajanana and Ganapathi.

Sri Hanuman is an incarnation of Lord Shiva.
Brihaspati had an attendant by the name of
Punjikasthala who was cursed to assume the body of a
female monkey. The curse was to be removed on her
giving birth to an incarnation of Lord Shiva.
Accordingly, she was born as Anjana and, together
with her husband Kesari, lived a life of chastity
and purity. She performed intense Tapasya for many
years, during which period she worshipped Lord Shiva
who being pleased with her granted her a boon.

Lord Jagannath is an abstract deity of Lord
Krishna.”Jagat” means universe/ world and “natha”
means Lord, hence Jagannnatha is Lord of the
Universe, the lord of every one and therefore
worshipped by all. The form of Lord Jagannath is
identical with the eternal, blissful and youth form
of Lord Krishna, the supreme absolute Truth. He is
